Every repair we carry out is covered. If something we fitted or worked on fails through no fault of yours, bring it back and we will put it right at no charge. This page sets out how long that cover lasts, what it does and does not include, and how to claim.
How long you are covered for

“Lifetime craftsmanship” means the workmanship, for as long as you own the device. If a screen we fitted lifts, a connector we seated works loose, or an adhesive seal we laid fails, that is ours to fix, with no time limit and no charge. It does not mean a lifetime of free screens: fresh accidental damage is a new repair.
What is covered
- The part we fitted failing on its own.
- Our workmanship: loose connectors, adhesive that has not held, a panel that does not sit flush, a component we disturbed during the repair.
- Faults that appear in the same repaired function shortly after you collect the device, for example touch dropping out across an area of a screen we replaced.
What is not covered
- New accidental damage. A fresh crack, a bend, or a new drop is a new repair, even on a part we fitted.
- Liquid damage after the repair. No third-party repair restores a phone's original factory water resistance. We re-seal with fresh waterproofing adhesive, but treat the device as splash-resistant rather than submersible afterwards.
- Work by someone else. If the device has been opened by another repairer since we saw it, we cannot warrant what we did.
- Unrelated faults. A battery we replaced does not cover a charging port that later fails.
- Software, data and settings. We always recommend a backup before any repair.
Liquid-damage repairs
Liquid damage carries a shorter term than our other work, and that is deliberate rather than a get-out. Corrosion continues after a board has been cleaned, and a device that comes back to life can develop a different fault weeks later from damage that was already there. We tell you honestly what we found and what the odds are before we start.
How to claim
- Get in touch: WhatsApp or call +44 7766 266277, or email hello@therepairlab.uk. Quote your order reference if you have it.
- Bring the device to 85b Hockley Street, Birmingham B19 3DL. If you are not local, message us and we will arrange postage.
- We inspect it, usually while you wait. If it is our workmanship or the part, we fix it free. If it turns out to be new damage, we tell you what it is and quote before doing anything.
No receipt needed. Your repair is on our system against your name and the device.
